Every agent has a weight

Small creatures often move faster because each motion carries less body. Agents also slow down when every step carries more material, not when they simply know more. In Carolverse, this burden became an agent's weight. Athena's monthly Agent Weight Measure kept that weight visible.
An agent's weight is everything it must read before answering. Its personality, duties, Mind, and current conversation ride on every step. Libraries, past sessions, and the source of truth wait on a shelf until fetched. Keep the pack light and the shelf large.
Weight was measured in thousands of tokens, the words a model reads, per step. A live-record estimate measured dressing before conversation, while the cost ledger supplied actual monthly use. Dressing ranged from 6 to 19 thousand, wakes from 17 to 32, and chats from 8 to 66. The dated source of truth preserved every reading, including Leo's heaviest chat.
A heavier agent usually answered slower and cost more, without becoming wiser. Each Carolopedia page showed its weight, while Agent Resources let agents report their own. When one felt slow, the useful question became, “What is it carrying?” Moving knowledge onto the shelf cut cost and delay without causing forgetting.
